I stand by this diet and fully believe that anyone can succeed when doing it 100%. The problem with that is me!
I am my own worst enemy. I am so lazy its ridiculous. I'm the kind of person who will take the elevator up one floor. The kind of person who will watch endless amounts of TV even though I have a DVR. I'm the kind of person who will go to one store at one end of the mall and then drive around to the other end just to go to another. Lazy is my middle name.
Since my last post however my life has also changed. I no longer work at the hospital, but instead got a new job as a full blown social worker. I also bought a house. This one actually has a kitchen that I can pretend to cook in.
I love my house. Mainly because its cheaper than my rent. How is that possible in Seattle. Well I bought a townhouse that has a business rental in the bottom. I can rent that out and then rent my spare bedroom to my friend. This will dramatically decrease my rent. YAY! I can thank my mom for finding this property no less, on craigslist. I was also recently in my cousins wedding as a bridesmaid. And Yes I was still fat and yes I had to have my dress altered (a lot). And yes in one of the pictures I looked like a chipmunk. Thanks Auntie for taking that picture at the wrong time, then posting it on Facebook! Just perfect.
So its try #502 on the Ideal Protein Diet. My roommate is also doing the diet, so maybe that will help with the cooking issue. This time I am not going to pay attention to the weight loss number. I am just going to weigh myself once at the beginning, measure everything, and take one before picture. Then I'm going to put it away and take virtual measurement based on what my clothing says. We will see!
My ultimate goal is to be smaller and better established by my 30th birthday which is in 2 years. I just want to be healthy and small enough that I can fit on/in adventure things that I would want to experience on my grand vacation when I turn 30! Enough of this, I need to stop acting like the irresponsible teenager that I am not.
This blog seems to be getting a fair amount of hits, and I'm not sure why. But I am curious, has anyone else done this diet a few hundred times and then it finally worked. Or am I crazy for attempting it again hoping this time will be different. Keep in mind it does cost a lot, but the money to me is not the problem. I can afford this diet.
